MAYOR AVNİ KURT'S ‘10 NOVEMBER’ MESSAGE
Çınarcık Mayor Avni Kurt published a message on the 86th anniversary of the departure of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
"For 86 years he has not been among us, but his works live on.
For 86 years, we have been witnessing that this nation remembers him, that great leader with blond hair and blue eyes, with teary eyes every 10th of November. The fact that the regime he established has been in existence for 101 years is the greatest indicator of his farsightedness.
Generations who understand Atatürk and follow in his footsteps will proudly carry the flag of the Republic into the future and protect Atatürk's trust. I commemorate with respect, mercy and gratitude Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, the Commander-in-Chief of the War of Independence, who said, ‘My humble body will one day be grounded, but the Republic of Turkey will remain forever.’ On the 86th anniversary of his passing into eternity, I remember him with respect, mercy and gratitude."
