KOCADERE VILLAGE

Kocadere is like paradise with its unique village and its excellent natural beauties. Tourism is a totally different world in complete unity with its open-minded, sea of ​​mountains, picnic areas and sincere people.

There is not much data about the first establishment of Kocadere which carries the traces of history as well as tourism values, and an old settlement church called Engere, a pilgrimage and some building remains were found

The painful event that Kocadere can not erase from his memory and he still understands every April 29 has lived during the War of Independence. Some of the people who were gathered by the occupation forces in those days were poured into the sea, and all the remaining women, children and elderly people were burnt to a house belonging to Bekir Onbaşı. In memory of this massacre of 880 people, the martyrdom built in the same place is filled with memorial ceremonies held every year on April 29th

 

ŞENKÖY VILLAGE
