29 OCTOBER REPUBLIC HOLIDAY LANTERN PROCESSION WAS HELD
The celebrations of the 101st anniversary of the foundation of our Republic ended with an enthusiastic lantern procession and music event.
The lantern procession started in front of our municipality and continued until Cumhuriyet Square with the participation of Çınarcık District Governor Oğuzhan Erdi Atak, Mayor Avni Kurt, district institution chiefs, mukhtars and many citizens.
Caner Mısırlı gave a DJ performance at the Republic Square where the lantern procession with flags and torches accompanied by the marching band ended.
In the square where fun-filled moments were experienced and the video on ‘Republic’ prepared by Hüdaverdi Aydın Secondary School was shown on the screen, our Mayor Avni Kurt made a speech on the meaning and importance of the day.
Our Mayor Kurt, whose impressive speech received great applause, took a souvenir photo with many citizens at the end of the night.
